Why Sellers Should Sell NOW and Buyers Should Purchase Before Prices Rise

 

Often times, we think that selling a home in the Fall and around the holidays is not a good idea.

Let's look at the reasons why it is a good idea: 

 

1.  We are seeing that buyers are out in droves looking for their forever home. They are finding themselves competing with other buyers to snag their dream home in a market where the inventory is very low. 

 

2.  There are not enough homes rights now in many areas, so seller competition is very low making it the right time to sell when serious buyers are out looking. 

 

3.  It's time to move on to reach your next real estate goal.  Those sellers who are thinking about selling  need to consider------ is it really worth waiting?  There will be fewer buyers in the market as prices increase because down payments and and mortgage payments will increase putting many buyers on hold. 

             Is it worth waiting til after the Fall season and the holidays? 

 

And for the buyers in the market place.....

Now is the time to move up to your next home. It is anticipated by the real estate gurus that home prices will increase approximately 5.1% in the next year. Interest rates are already increasing.

What does this mean for you? 

It means that it will cost more for you, the buyer,  to make your home purchase. You will  be looking at a higher down payment and a higher monthly payment.   Also, as interest rates rise on a mortgage loan, you wont be able to purchase a $200,000 home, for example and will have to settle for a purchase price of  $180,000 or $190,000.

            SO Why Wait?
