Dockside: Relaxing On Wrightsville Sound
Located on the water in Wrightsville Sound just south of the Wrightsville Beach Causeway Bridge, Dockside (1308 Airlie Rd.) is a great place to get away for lunch or dinner and relax as the boats go by. With its Marina Bar and outside deck, Dockside offers one of the best outdoor dining
experiences in the area. It's one of the first places I visited when I relocated to Wilmington, and is where I like to take family and friends when they come to town.
The menu has a pretty good range of items including burgers and hot dogs, wrap sandwiches, salads, and seafood (of course!). The catch of the day sandwiches are always good (something I always get),
and my husband and daughter swear by the crab nugget appetizers. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive, and goes out of its way to entertain the kids (if you have any).
Don't feel like eating outside? Ask to be seated upstairs, and enjoy the view of the marina and Intercoastal Waterway from behind the glass in air conditioned comfort.
Indoors or outdoors, you get a great view pretty much anywhere you sit.
Dockside is a great place to get a taste of the local coastal living lifestyle, and somewhere I suggest visiting while searching for a home in Wrightsville Beach or the Wilmington area.
