Casey's Buffet Barbecue & Home Cookin: The Best Fried Chicken I've Ever Had
Located at 5559 Oleander Dr. in Wilmington (on the way to Wrightsville Beach), Casey's Buffet Barbecue & Home Cookin is easily one of my favorite restaurants in town. As the name suggests, it's a buffet style place serving
barbecue and southern-style home cooked delights, and boasts some of the friendliest wait staff I've come across in the Wilmington area.
The buffet has a good range of items, with barbecue, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and hush puppies being the mainstays, and includes catfish, okra, chicken and dumplings, black-eyed peas, cabbage, and even roast turkey (on Sundays). While there are many more items regularly featured in the buffet, these are the ones I mainly stick with because they are so good!
Now let me tell you, I used to live Las Vegas, so I've been to my fair share of buffets. Casey's has some of the best food I've ever had at any buffet, and the best fried chicken I've ever tasted - period.
